Research themes:
Yayoi culture has a wide range of variations from Kyushu to Tohoku. A recent research theme is to unravel the cultural diversity and their mutual relationship in the Yayoi period with parallel cultures, including the Epi-Jomon culture in Hokkaido through to the Bronze Age and the early Iron Age culture in the Korean Peninsula.
